The host nuclear envelope is a membrane system which surrounds the host nucleoplasm of eukaryotic cells. It is composed of the nuclear lamina, nuclear pore complexes and two nuclear membranes. Plays an essential role in egress of virus particles from the nucleus, cytoplasmic envelopment and virus-induced cell fusion.
