Regulatory component of the NEM1-SPO7 complex which acts as a phosphatase and dephosphorylates the phosphatidic acid phosphohydrolase PAH1 (PubMed:15889145). Essential for the formation of a spherical nucleus and meiotic division (PubMed:9822591).
